Tattoo Removal with Fairlawn

There are too many stories that happen the same way. You go out with your friends, have what seems to be a never-ending night, then someone chimes in the terrible idea: ‘We should get tattoos!’ Although the normal you would have stopped and thought about it, the 3 a.m. peer pressured version of you is completely interested in the idea. One thing leads to another and you find yourself waking up the next evening and seeing ink on your body that wasn’t there the night before. You grab your phone and you frantically search ‘tattoo removal’ and try to figure out how much it is going to cost you to remove your mistake. Luckily, tattoo removal is much easier to find nowadays than it was even within the last decade.

Laser tattoo removal first came around in 1967 but, because of the limitations on technology, was rather ineffective to remove the whole tattoo. However, as technology progressed, the lasers used for removal did as well. This led to the creation of the Q-switched lasers (what we use at Fairlawn Aesthetics) that are much more effective than previous lasers and can also create the desired effect in less treatment sessions as compared to the 694 Ruby laser that was used in the original removal. These lasers use high levels of energy to target colors at different wavelengths and break up the ink, while dealing minimal damage to the patient’s skin.

Although tattoos are an interesting and fun way for individuals to express themselves, some people simply just have tattoos that they regret and there is nothing wrong with that! Thankfully, we are now in a time in history that you aren’t stuck with a bad tattoo for the rest of your life and you can do something about it. Visit Fairlawn Aesthetics’ website here to find out more about tattoo removal and the other services that they offer!

After the deep-freeze damage to the fat cells, they will eventually die and be eliminated by the body — a process which takes time, about 1-3 months or more, resulting in up to 20%-25% reduction of fat in a treated are...

How Often Should I Get a Chemical Peel?

Can you get chemical peels too often? Chemical peels are helpful for a variety of skin conditions. They are often used as acne treatment and can target age spots, improving blemishes, fine lines, and wrinkles. Because of their healing properties, it may be tempting to use chemical peels excessively. However. doing so too much can backfire and create more skin issues, such as: -redness -discoloration -hyperpigmentation -irreversible spots -bacterial infections Ironically, if you use chemical peels too often, you may risk bringing on the issue you want to treat. So, how often is too often? The answer depends on the strength of the chemical peel. For instance, are you using at-home products or medical-grade peels from an esthetician? Although this is generally a con, you can typically use these superficial-level products more often without adverse reacti...
